| HUCKELBERRY / HAGELBERGER |
I have traced the family to 1711 when Benjamin HAGELBERGER
was born somewhere near Kleeberg, Germany (now Cleebourg, Alsace),
near Weisemberg, Germany (now Wissembourg, Alsace) which is very
near the Rhine River. There are still many HAGELBERGER families
in the Alsace region in the phone book. What I need to know
is where do I go next to find this family. I do not think they
were Catholic. I contacted a genealogist in Cleebourg. He said
that he had no record of a HAGELBERGER family in the town.
The wife of Benjamin is unknown. The children born in Germany
are named: Frederick (1737), Elizabeth (1741), George (1742).
They arrived in Boston, MA, USA in 1742
